HISTORY

ANTA House was first developed in 2010 for the Highland House Expo in Inverness. The concept was born from two ideas:

- THE RURAL IDYLL

They were inspired by simple Scottish and Scandinavian structures built in remote locations to escape the city and enjoy the wild and rural landscape. They allow people to relax, enjoy wild places away from electronic devises and wifi. These structures are fully sustainable, using only natural and traditional materials with a contemporary application and are often off-grid.

- AFFORDABLE & ADAPTABLE HOMES

The ANTA house could be a solution for housing for young working families and for elderly persons. The ANTA house provides for all. It is a solution as a compact and self-contained home-working and accommodation space, designed for year-round use. In 1993, the Stewart family built a wooden hut as their home for their young family. It was the same structure that now their elderly grandparents use with their carer. It is a house that suits all stages of life, that is adaptable for a growing family.
